Institute Differ (Dutch Institute for Fundamental Energy Research), located on the campus of the Technical University in Eindhoven, conducts research on fusion energy and solar fuels. For this sustainable built project (BREEAM Excellent) JAZO delivered and installed several (fire resistant) windows, doors and facades.
Design
Portions of the supplied aluminum grid facades are placed in front of the glazed windows. The grid parts are equipped with a milled hole pattern, so that natural light is still allowed to pass. The transformer rooms are designed with fire-proof doors with surface-mounted louvers. In cooperation with facade supplier Rollecate the high doors are also coated.
Realization
For contractor Dura Vermeer, JAZO used Lines-36, grid walls, fire resistant doors (WBDBO EW60 in accordance with NEN 6069) with grid lining and loose grid parts type HS-27. Much attention is paid to the technical implementation combined with the aesthetic requirements of the architect. A pleasant cooperation with the construction team of Dura Vermeer has led to a stunning end result.
